Hunter’s Tryst proved entertaining for competitors and planner alike. It had only been used twice for small events since being first mapped by Dave Godfree, and not at all in the last eight years.
Short legs in the more intricate alleyways of the ‘Army’ housing give a good contrast to the more straightforward Tryst Park area where long legs with route-choice were the order of the evening.
The use of gaffling (!) caused much discussion – “how did you get ahead of me?” – principally because few realised that the long course had been planned that way.
Another solid pair of victories for Ben and Rachel Brown, who will likely be even more invincible on their home terrain next week.
