About the club
Interløpers is a small, friendly (but also competitive) orienteering club based in Edinburgh. We are predominantly a club of younger orienteers, or orienteers who can at least remember being young and still go training, and welcome new members of all ages. If you're in Edinburgh and want to go orienteering, why not get in touch?
Our club started in 1971, as a sort-of Edinburgh University alumni club, and in 1974 became an Open club to recognise the growing number of family members. Notable alumni include Carol McNeill, Geoff Peck, Scott Fraser and numerous more recent GB Squad members.
You can find out more about the club's activities elsewhere on the site, find hints and tips for beginners and improvers, along with useful information for current and prospective club members.
Interløpers is affiliated to the Scottish Orienteering Association (SOA) and the British Orienteering Federation (BOF). We are also members of the East of Scotland Orienteering Association (ESOA) which co-ordinates local orienteering. We have gained Bronze accreditation with the SOA and are now aiming for Silver...
