The Club AGM will be on the evening of Thursday 24th September, in the function room of the Braid Hills Hotel, starting at 7pm.

Business will take around an hour, and will be followed by a meal.

Further details have been circulated by Secretary John.  We are able to make our meal selections on the night, on arrival.

The last Saturday in August is the annual Friends of Braidburn Valley Park “Tea in the Park”.

Well done to the British competitors at European Youth Orienteering Championship, Nova Gorica, Slovenia, 25 - 27 June 2026 featuring Interløper Lucy Ward finishing in 6th in the sprint and anchoring the W16 Relay team to 4th place.

The ESOA ‘junior’ coaching is extending this year to also provide coaching for adult ‘improvers’.
The first date has already happened, and was a great success. Venues for the other three sessions are yet to be agreed, but the dates are confirmed.  More details in due course.

The last Scottish Orienteering League (SOL) competition of the year saw an excellent end to the series, with today's competition at Gullane Dunes, hosted by Interlopers. The sky was blue all day and we had a fantastic turn-out of orienteers from across the Scottish clubs as well as from further afield, and some newcomers to the sport too. Ben Stevens'...

The Interlopers Club AGM was held on Thursday 18 September, with a nice evening at the Charwood Grill following the offical business part of the meeting. Many thanks to out-going Chair Max Carcas and Comms / Publicity Officer Katherine Ivory for all their work for the club over the past year, and a big welcome to Paul Caban as the new Chair!

The 2025 Interlopers Orienteering Club AGM (actually its Fiftieth!) will be held on Thursday 18 September 2025 at 7.00pm, in the Balfour Suite, Charwood Bar and Restaurant, Fairmilehead.  All club members are very welcome and are encouraged to come along as a club social opportunity.

Interlopers are putting on a Scottish Orienteering League (SOL) event at Gullane in East Lothian on Sunday 21st September. Entries are open now, with a full range of courses to suit everyone from beginners to experts.

This year's season of Sprintelopes (fast and furious urban races) concluded at Loanhead last night in the sweltering Scottish summer heat (yes, you read that right).

Looking for something active outdoors to do with the family at the end of August?  Free orienteering activities will be on offer as part of ‘Tea in the Park’.

A sunny Easter Saturday afternoon is an ideal time to introduce families to the delights of orienteering, and it was great to spend time with fifty or so children and adults who who came up to chat at the Interlopers stall at the Spring Family Festival organised by Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT). 

Looking for something active outdoors to do with the family over Easter weekend?  Free orienteering activities will be on offer as part of the Spring Family Festival at Craigmillar Castle Park. Come along on Saturday 19 April (1-3pm, by the central playpark) to enjoy some family-friendly fun outdoors, organised for the local community by Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust.

Our Club April social evening was a great success, with a Quiz Night at the Old Bell, organised by Mairi Eades.

Craigmillar Castle Park is a great place to spend active time outdoors at any time of year.  Following the installation of new orienteering marker posts this spring, a brand new set of course maps are now available to enjoy, for free and whenever you want.  Just download maps from our website, head to the start point and off you go on a fun adventure navigating round the checkpoints in the correct order.
