Kinneil Woods Results - Saturday 1st April
Results from our local event at Kinneil Woods are now available ...
Thanks for coming to our event at Kinneil Woods. The rain held off, and Colin's courses made great use of the area, with the added twist of the map memory option. Around 65 competitors took part, and links to results are below:
Kinneil Woods is an interesting area to run round, with a mixture of open grassy areas, very open runnable woodland, some steep slopes, and some rather thicker woodland and higher fences giving some route choice decisions.There was also the chance to see Kinneil House as you ran past ...
There green course also had the added excitement of the map-memory option, which a third of the runners took on. We don't know though how many took an emergency copy of the map in their back pocket! I know I didn't and it certainly made me focus very carefully on the key features I needed to remember to find the next control, and of course there was no excuse for not running at full speed when the map was in my head.
Thanks to our expert team of volunteers - Max (organiser) and Colin (planner), ably helped by Paul, Rob and Jane at start and download, and by Mike, Graeme, Rob and Ken who helped collect in all the controls afterwards.
