Interløpers at Jukola

Some great runs by Interløpers at the world's biggest relay.

Jukola 2015, with over 1800 teams of seven, is by far the biggest orienteering race in the world.  With live TV, Interløpers were to the fore on the first leg, with Hector Haines coming back in the lead.   His Swedish club IFK Lindingo made that old INT error of putting him in the second team.   30 seconds later, Alan Cherry came back in seventh, a very rare cachet for any club to have two in the top-10.  Our top lead-off man, Alex Carcas, running on a Scottish juniors team, got trampled in the rush at the start, something you really, really don't want to happen, and limped back in 879th.

Later, Scott Fraser, running the glory leg for Turun Metsänkävijät, came home in an impressive 6th overall.   Maybe next year we'll have our own team?
