The 3rd Winterlope of 2024 is on the Portobello Golf course
Brand new map never used before: Sprint standard, 1:4000, 2m contours. Typical golf course terrain - short grass, trees and bunkers, and some small strips of runnable woodland. The long course also dips out into neighbouring streets. Keep out of the bunkers and off the Greens – they are clearly marked with sandy ground and olive out of bounds respectively.

Courses
Start location: Start, Finish and Parking at Portobello High School by the all-weather pitches.
Maps are now available to download using the links below - courses should be run, after dark only, any time between 19th - 25th February inclusive.

Distances are straight-line - actual routes run will be slightly longer.
NB: The area is smaller than other Winterlope areas, and there are many controls. You will almost certainly get “beeps” as you pass controls that you’re not looking for: be extra careful to visit the correct control.
There is one 3m high fence on the east side of the golf course which is mapped as crossable. It is full of holes, so you can easily get through in many places. Don’t try to climb it!
